Brendan Skidmore is a singer, songwriter, and pianist born in San Francisco. As the leader of the band, RITA, he showcases his unique blend of folk, soul and jazz throughout New York City. Whether performing his own works or interpreting the music of luminaries such as Prince, Van Morrison, or Antonio Carlos Jobim, he combines the fun and accessibility of pop with the thrill of improvisation. Each performance is honest, emotional, spontaneous and soulful.

Joining him in RITA is tenor saxophonist and vocalist Chelsea Baratz who has performed with such esteemed artists as Aretha Franklin, Talib Kweli, Madlib, Bob James, Macy Gray, Kali Uchis, Matt Schofield, Orrin Evans, Ben Williams and Dezron Douglas. Most recently, Chelsea continues to grace the stages & personnel lists with artists of critical acclaim such as Maurice Brown’s The Mood, Brandee Younger’s Somewhere Different, and Emmaline’s singles You Don’t Know What Love Is, Get Lost & I’m In The Mood For Love.
